Make it to Semis at Mead

Westside 99's conclude
Mead Cup with a 3-1 record. The team won all of their
games in group play but fell short in the semi-finals
to a good Cup Crew team from Cincinnati, Ohio.
The team had their most
exciting game of the year with Warren County Blue.
The 99's produced four goals late in the game to post
a 4-3 result advancing them to the semi-finals. The
team had a great weekend together and enjoyed the
competition. The 99's congratulate Team Challenger and
Cup Crew on a well played tournament. The team goes
back to league play this week as they prepare for
Soctoberfest starting October 10th.

94s and
93s Fair Well at Regionals

Westside United Soccer club had a strong showing at
Regionals this past June in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
The 93s outscored their opponents by a total of 15 goals
for and gave up 3 on their way to the regional semis.
They ended up losing to a talented KC Wizards team 1-0
in a hard fought battle by both teams.
The
Westside United 94s also faired well making it all the
way to the regional finals, one game away from
Nationals. The 94s had a tough road on their way to the
finals, but overcame the odds to defeat Ohio South,
Nebraska, and Iowa. They lost to a talented Blast FC
team 5-2 in the final, but represented Westside United
and the state of Indiana well.

Andrew Oliver to Residency!

Westside United and
Southport High School’s Andrew Oliver has been called to
residency for the United States U-17 National team in
Bradenton, Florida. Andrew will be
going to school as well as training down there in hopes
of preparing and making the 2011 U-17 World Cup team.
This is a great opportunity and honor for Andrew,
and Westside United would like to wish him the best of
luck!

Westside United
97 Girls and 99 Boys Win Soctoberfest
Westside United had a very successful weekend of soccer
at the Soctoberfest tournament in Zionsville winning the
championships at the U13 Girls and U11 Boys level. Both
teams won the premier division at the tournament and
played good soccer all weekend long.
Congratulations to
both teams on a job well done!
